Over time and with use, even the best-quality knives lose their cutting edge. Using an honing steel will give your knives the cutting edge that they need.
The Fischer P1250 is part of the Eco Chef series, constructed with a classic food-safe polypropylene handle and an integrated safety guard. This is a round steel of standard grade, enabling the sharpening of knives (as opposed to honing). Standard cut steels should only be used on occasion for blunt knives.
- Constructed from FILE steel 100 C6 (high carbon content (1%), chrome, manganese and silicon)
- Heat-treated for hardness of 64 to 66 HRC, enabling the sharpening of any knife.
- Hard chrome coating to increase superficial hardness by 3 to 4 HRC
- Magnetised to ensure tiny steel particles from the grinding process stay on the steel and out of your food.
