Description
Manufactured from D2 steel — high carbon, high chromium. The carbon gives it great wear resistance, which means it stays sharp for longer. The chromium gives it a good level of corrosion resistance, making it suitable for food contact.
Precision tempered to assure a long lasting cutting edge and consistent hardness throughout the life of the plate, so they can be resurfaced many times over.

Care: despite its high chromium content, D2 steel is not as corrosion-resistant as stainless steel, so care must be taken to prevent spotting. After washing, quickly dry off the plate and apply a thin layer of food-grade oil all over. The oil will repel any water and stop any oxidisation of the metal.
