Distance rings (or spacer rings) reduce the space for cutting tools (i.e. knives and plates) in your mincer barrel. They allow you to use your multi-cut mincer with less plates and knives.

If you’re want a coarse texture for your meat and you have a multi-cut machine, then you will need a spacer ring to replace the final grind plate.
